I have been prescribed Amoxicillin many times and never had problems. I know that Citalopram has side effects and it is suggested not to take 20mg straight away and to take 10 or even 5mg for the first few days as they can make you feel worse. I would see your GP and ask about Sertraline as they are not as invasive as Citalopram. Either way I wish you well.
I never found Citalopram invasive at all and took them many times with amoxcillian never had any issues at all.

I would speak to your GP but I certainly would not be suggesting alternatives!
I have never had an issue when taking both.
My GP warned me that taking Citalopram at 20mg immediately may make me feel worse for the first week or so and I asked if there was something else I could take that would not so I was prescribed 50mg of Sertraline and I have no problems with it at all. I am NOT a GP, just telling you what I was told.

I have been on Citralpram for 6 months starting on 10 mg and then going up to 20 mg. I was having crippling panic attacks which they have helped with, but this morning I feel very teary and anxious, something I thought had been much better. I am taking Amoxcillian for a bad throat that won't shift.
Sammy I feel for you, I have been dealing with anxiety and depression for donkeys years and am starting to learn how to deal with it. my panic attacks have gone from 3 a week at least, to 1 every few months so things are getting better. If you would like to have a chat about some techniques I use just let me know.
Whatever Anti D you take you can still have down times, if the feeling persists go back and discuss hope the throat clears up soon.

What you are describing sounds normal and certainly when I was depressed and anxious it was normal to have 'bad days' don't beat yourself up - speak to your GP.
Just come off citalopram after being on them for years. They made me feel better at first but in the last few years I've been worse and feeling suicidal! Have come off them now but the doc wanted me to take some others but I feel so much better now I've come off them so am not taking any. Feel like I've woke up. Not saying don't take them but make sure you don't take them for too long.

Do not just stop taking them THAT IS TERRIBLE ADVICE. Speak to your GP
I don't see anyone has advised stopping them.

Thanks Mamy. xx
Give your local pharmacist a ring and double check with them about possible interactions.
They are usually very helpful and, more to the point, they are almost always available to speak to you.
