Bazile - you would know I am not a medical person but my friend has been suffering from lymphoma non-parkinson for 5 years and has been through hell - yet she never lost one pound.
LOl...difficult question....again.

Impaired lymphatic system covers a wide range of disorders, but I am going to assume that you mean the leukaemias and the lymphomas.

Broadly speaking patients tend to lose weight before diagnosis BUT after diagnosis and treatment they tend to gain weight and have trouble losing it.

This is a very non specific answer to your very "vague" question.
well she neither lost weight before or after - I found it incredible - because she sorta has an abhorrent of food - likes porridge for breakfast - and tomato soup for dinner while she makes lots of food for her family. I do believe it is the steroids what else could it be.

Ok - let's try and be less vague if i can .

If someone's lymphatic system is suspect, manifesting in Lymphoeda of the legs - but the stomach is also big .

Is it likely that one of the cause of the stomach size could also be asociated with this problem ?
Question Author
What steroids is she taking ?

Again, with little to go on....YES....lymphoedema of the legs may well have the same origin as the "big stomach."

The "big stomach" could be due to fluid (ascites) or indeed an enlarged organ (stomach or spleen or both) which would fit in with malignant disease of the lymphatic system.

There are plenty of "ifs" in my answer.
sorry...I meant "liver or spleen."
