Amazing how many people with delicate stomachs visit Body and Soul posts.

I am sure I have read some Private Clinics are hoping to offer it from September.

Cannot make my mind up what I think of it,but then you didn't ask that.

Good luck.

Mamma - I always welcome your, or anyone else's opinions
I am just desperate to find out which clinics would be offering it
I have tried all the local ones - all to no avail
Just don't know where to turn now
I would keep checking,my bet is that it will hit the papers when it gets here.

I know people who are desperate too,so never judge and seems better than much more dangerous invasive surgery techniques.
Cosmo says "due to hit UK shores in September":

(Although, given that their knowledge of Latin appears to be non-existent, I wouldn't put too much faith in the quality of the rest of their reporting!)

British gastroenterologist Dr Anthony Shonde is planning to offer what he sees as ‘an excellent alternative to obesity surgery’ to private patients at his London clinic from September.

I have emailed the suppliers - will let you all know if/when I hear back

Just called the clinic - I expected a voicemail but I actually spoke to someone!!
They told me to call back tomorrow;-))
I'm pleased so far - I'll be svelte by Christmas
what is it?
It`s an expensive way of putting two fingers down your throat
From what I see on that site it looks like a great idea for the obese and if it works as described it would be a good option to make it available on the NHS for selected patients of course.

I think the problem with it could be that it would be abused by some. I eat a lot, but fortunately I don't have a big issue with weight, maybe could do with losing 3 stone. With that device, I could just carry on eating vast quantities and suck it back out again without the need to diet. From that point of view it could be easily abused, with little incentive to diet. So once all that food has been sucked out, wouldn't you then be hungry again, now having a nearly empty stomach?
RATTER...No!
Only about 30% of the food is sucked out.

The "extraction" of food is done about an hour after eating, by which time the brain is happy with the fullness of the stomach.

Not for me........too many possible complications.
It might be safer just to eat 30% less food.
yeuch yeuch..wrong on so many levels..
Me neither sqad, I don't need such measures thankfully.

Tilly, Lol, I bet no one thought of that!
Sorry, I find this gross.

An internal tummy "hoover"?
technical bulimia!
Well I am 50% bulimic, I just eat a lot!
Oh. my. actual. god.

What complications would you envisage Sqad?
