Didn't realise they went on sale so early, not that I was interested in going anyway.
Were any of you ABers who are interested lucky enough to get one?

If you tried but missed one, here's a little comfort:

Yeah, I heard on the radio earlier that the tickets sold out within something like 45 mins. There is a rumour ( pardon the pun ) that Fleetwood Mac will be the headline act next year.
That's what normally happens, though. I'd love to go one year, I didn't realise they were on sale yet. Perhaps people on their mailing list get an advance notification to have their fingers poised!
Why is Glastonbury so popular, it can't be for it's comfortable surroundings or wonderful facilities, why does anyone want to paddle around in mud, to listen to various bands blasting out ear deafening ????'music???? I say listen because there are hundreds who cannot see the stage except via giant TV screens?

Waits for the explosion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I completely agree with the 5 reasons not to go which are listed in the article. Each to their own but I can`t think of anything worse than wallowing around in mud whilst listening to bands that I don`t particularly like.
I've never understood why you would buy tickets without knowing who's playing?
It must be a Pilton thing I suppose. A similar thing was tried here, an event was announced for on the beach, a week later it was cancelled due to lack of ticket sales, hardly surprising as no line up was announced!
My daughter was gutted last night to have not got a ticket. It is a bit ridiculous that an event like that is sold out months in advance. It's my idea of hell and would have been when I was young. I'm tempted to say it's the 'I was there' that drives some people to go rather than the actual experience itself.
Knickers....Saturday night my friend said....fancy Glastonbury?.....Must admit her husband looked sideways at us..... Why not...said I....

That's a shame........don't suppose a Warner's weekend break will be the same.... :-(
I didn't realise that these glamping things don't include a ticket, thought some of those may have still been available.

Some of you just dont get it do you....
theres a ton of bands/artists playing over the whole festival, its not just about a couple of "big" names, billed or not billed.
There are more than just the main stages that you can only really see on vid screens, theres plenty of smaller shows. Theres always lots of new music to hear etc etc
If you dont take wellys and a waterproof groundsheet then I agree about the mud though......

But lets face it some of you are probably just too old "to get it".......
AOG

I understand why people like festivals, but I personally wouldn't go to one unless I knew which acts were performing ahead of time.

To me, if I'm going to pay a lot of money to see live acts, I would need to be sure that they are acts I actually want to see.

For this reason, Glastonbury is a bit of a head scratcher for me.

However, I completely understand why music fans tear themselves to pieces to get tickets.
My friend got some - but she goes every year - mostly with comps
To be honest Fleetwood Mac and AC/DC just don't do it for me
