Hi everyone, well I had my operation Thursday under spinal anaesthesia for retained products after a miscarriage 4 weeks ago.
I still feel exactly the same today as I did before the op.
Same pain, same pressure, no change what so ever in how everything felt down there when I had the retained products left in to how I feel today after the op. Supposed to be a straightforward op and be back to normal swiftly after.
Well, im no different. My boobs are burning still as well.
Sorry tmi, hardly and bleeding either.
No scan was done after to make sure all was removed, im thinking they have missed whatever was left attached and causing my pos preg tests and preg symptoms.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

Possible............but highly unlikely.

Do nothing...monitor the situation .......and if you feel the same in 10 days time, then go back to your GP and ask for a blood test.
.

I think you have done very well to get the health care that you wanted.

I also think: sqad gynaecologist extraordinaire that he is.... may not be as useful to you as your GP and gynaecologist that treated you, as they have all the gory details.

for example the repeat scan - there is no point in doing one if your doctors are gonna wait anyway....

IN the end you are gonna have to go back to the GP

Just so disappointed, I have exactly the same pain and pressure I had before the operation, absolutely no change at all :(
do you still have positive pregnancy test since your surgery ?
anne...she only had the operation less than 2 days ago........the blood tests would unlikely to be negative to hormones so soon.

Only had surgery Thursday morning. I had miscarriage 4 wks today and preg test stayed positive constant, u/s showed 3cm retained products with blood flow so said it was placental tissue.
My pain is all like inside my rectum, exactly the same as it was last week, shooting and severe, if I need to pass gas, or bowel movement, its horrendous, just as it was before the op.
But sat here now and comes and goes for few seconds, severe shooting up back passage, srry again tmi.
sqad, I didn't mention '' blood tests '' urine pregnancy test .
anne....whatever......they wouldn't be a change in that sort of time.....
sheribee.....don't expect too much, too soon, as you could well be a fortnight in your present state.
It will settle.
Just to say greatest sympathy, hope all is well soon
My daughter had the same thing - unfortunately it turned out to be twins and the other early foetus had died but not been expelled, which meant intervention - it took a few weeks so be patient.
I had an evacuation and besides a few period type pains the same day I was fine the next day. No bleeding, no pain.

I had to have the baby removed.
I think you should expect a few days of pain. Your cervix has been forced open and that can cause some discomfort. You may have pos pregnancy tests for up to 10 days later, I did.

Hope you're feeling better soon.
