Hi there I have moderately controlled AF on betablocker and blood thinner. I have noticed my atrial fibrillation is worse the last couple of days and I was wondering if this was because of this really hot humid weather. I went out for a couple of hours this morning and then had to come home. This hot weather is pretty tough to say the least I am 8 stone overweight so I am struggling.

I don`t know about the heat itself but the associated dehydration might.
My 80 year old brother has atrial fibrillation.
It's controlled by medication .I can't see that the weather can effect it .
The fact that you are 8 stone overweight may play a part though .
gordie.......it might.........it might not.

Medical opinions seem to differ.

Me?....I don't know.
I personally that extreme heat can affect my A F. Also being cold then heating up quickly and of course alcohol can set it off also chocolate but funnily enough not coffee.
