Sorry to post another question

1. Has anyone ever bought a used/new car from Evans Halshall- if yes what was your views on their customer service , before / and or after the purchase .

2. The salesman informed me that i am required to pay £ 98.99 for a package which includes an admin fee / copy of the HPI report / drive away insurance / set of mats .
It is not optional .
Has anyone bought a car from them and paid this charge ?

I havn't dealt with Evans Halshaw but I know that a lot of the 'car supermarket' type dealers do levy a fee of about £100 because they pare their profits to the bone to get business.
Look elsewhere, there are ,many that want your business Bazile,
It's pretty standard with the big companies. As TWR suggests, shop around.
I've never bought a car from these people, but have negotiated with others trying to charge similar fees. I find that if you really push it they will give way.

After negotiating all your worth, tell them the £98.99 package is a deal breaker and see what happens. Do not be afraid to walk away, bet you get a 'phonecall in about 2 days.

Must admit I never needed drive away insurance, just 'phoned my insurance company to change the cover 5 minutes before I drove it away.
It is optional, if they want the sale they'll waive it, it's a buyers market. I'd tell them to stuff it! plenty of cars out there. I'd never buy from one of these charlatans anyway, the bigger the facade the bigger the crooks. Why do people buy from dealers? Mystifying!
Baz - it's the 27th of the month - the salesman will have targets to meet to get his bonuses etc before the end of the month - if he wants his dosh then he'll do the deal. Son bought a car from Evans Halshaw a few years ago but won't be going to them again, he says, not a good experience.
Hi I wouldn't go to them again , we bought a car from them and they told us the wrong mileage . When we went to pay for it it was a lot more miles than they said , we tried to negotiate the price downwards and the man said the extra miles don't matter . They did matter very much to us!
