You poor thing, a friend of mine has been struggling with pleurisy for what seems an age, she just can't seem to shrug it off.
It's a shocker - you have my unconditional sympathy.

I presume you're at the "if I cough it hurts everywhere & if I don't cough I can't bloody breathe" stage?
aw love you xx. chin up, mrs o.
Blimey....must be bad for you to complain.....shall I phone you later with some of my latest jokes?

Seriously...get well soon.....Love Gx
Sorry to hear this, hope you soon feel better, hope it won't affect your sense of humour.
Sounds horrible. I really hope you feel better soon, Mrs O xx
Been there, done that, more than once and I agree it is awful and painful. Nowhere near as painful as a collapsed lung with a large bore chest drain inserted though.

Thank you for putting up with my moaning, it really is a bloody horrible condition.
I can't cough because breathing in to get a good cough going is agony.
Breathing in in general is agony
Laying down is agony
Burping and hiccoughing is agony.

I can't catch my breath enough to get a good draw going on my pipe

Apart from that, I guess it could be worse.....
Hope you're sooon on the mend. And I know you're sick of me saying it, but PLEASE try and stay off the Melvyn's!! x
Sorry you're hurting so much. A friend had pleurisy and it really knocked her for six and she didn't have the extra problems that you have. Knowing you, it must be really bad but I know you'll fight it xxx
Question Author
chill, you will be pleased to know I have no interest in Melvyns at the moment x
Well done Mrs O, try and maintain that mindset, you'll be feeling the benefits in no time.

Thanks for your kind words

Psybbs, yes I do have other problems - Gness threatening to tell me her jokes is the most serious one ;-)
Let's try to cheer her up with a few good reasons to visit Whitby, I'll start with:

1) Hoping to catch a glimpse of our hair-netted superstar gutting fish on the quay in her white wellies.

2) The constant sound of the foghorn blasting out as the weather closes in every Bank Holiday, (and many other days)

3) The Seaman's Mission, a favourite haunt of Mrs O.

3) The proliferation of crabs in this town. (See above)

Over to you....
