Not me affected but anyone know what could cause a body temperature to drop dangerously low more than once despite not being cold (i.e. not weather related hypothermia) and unrelated to any infection in the body.

Hope that makes sense!

Diabetes, stress, alcohol, medications. Whichever applies best I guess.
Only one would fit into that description....bacteraemic shock.

Sorry, I missed that part of your question.

In which case, I cannot think of any condition which would cause the body temperature to drop dangerously low.

Mo.Jo.Jo has mentioned a few + hypothyroidism...ALL unlikely scenaria.

Thanks both. Hopefully some better answers soon! It relates to my previous thread. Temp dipped again but suggested not related to the sepsis.

Second hand info mind - having to keep my distance up here as not been able to travel and no chance I'm going near and risking any further infection - not been able to keep anything in my system from last Thurs until, thankfully, today. Seems more like the bile acid malabsorption going into overdrive but not discounting a bug kicked it off - never been this bad.
If I'm low blood sugar, my core temperature drops and takes ages to rise again, I'm too cold to move - hot bath works for me eventually
