If they were efficacious wouldn't the NHS be issuing them
what are they?
thanks howard - well, I wouldn't. Complementary medicine isn't regulated.
Its art of the herbal and complimentary medicine used in ayurvedic medicine.

I personally would have little faith in such remedies - if they were any good, they would simply be medicine.
I can find no trial data, no proper performance reviews. Only anecdotal evidence.

On Wikipedia, there was a statement that the herbs used in this supplement have been found to contain high levels of lead, mercury and arsenic. Controls have been put in place by Indian authorities, but a recent survey in Boston, MA of supplements produced in India (including Mukta Vati) showed that 20% of the products had lead, mercury and/or arsenic in them

I would personally be worried about the potential contaminants, and the lack of evidence of efficacy.
