pneumonia , pleural fusion

Well what a weekend that was ! I went to GP regarding a problem with my urine ( bubbles) and ended up in A and E on Friday night with the above. No wonder my inflammation markers were sky high and I felt like death ! So after being pumped ( IV ) with antibiotics I am allowed home to recover with oral tablets. I was shocked to the core when the Doctors diagnosed me, I had no chest pain , no cough. How the dickens do you get it and how long does it take to recover from it ?

That diagnosis sounds very "iffy."

Did you have a chest X-Ray?

Have you got a follow up appointment?
oh you poor thing, might it have been pleural effusion ?
