Hay fever Type Thingy

I seem to have been suffering from a constant "hay fever" type thingy, for the past month or so. My nose is constantly running, and I'm sneazing, though I do not have itchy eyes. I have a tickly cough, and am now getting quite breathless on exertion. I have tried all of the over the counter hayfever med's to no avail. I am asthmatic, by the way and use seratide and ventolin. I went to my GP but he just gave me piriton, which has made no differance. Some years ago, I did have various patch tests done at the hospital, and was not allergic to anything!!

Any ideas how to stop this as its getting me down.

Thanks anna, I think the "hay fever thingy" is making my asthma worse.
This is clearly an allergic problem and there are no over the counter priducts that will ease your symptoms.
Inj, Depot Medrone (methylprednisolone)....one injection only....will settle your symptoms within 48 hours and cover you for the whole summer.

Unfortunately this can only be given by your GP.

Thank you Sqad, will make an appointment tonight. Do you think it could be because they have planted all the fields round my cottage with rape seed this year, where as its usually wheet or barley??
Toes.......I think that is a good reason for your symptoms.
My experience is that oil seed rape makes my hayfever much worse, despite some people saying the pollen is too heavy to travel any distance (or something similar). In fact I can be driving in the car (with pollen filters) and feel my nose itching before the oil seed rape even comes into view. Also, when I'm suffering hay fever I also regularly feel breathless as I am unable to breathe properly through my nose.

I keep my symptoms in check with accupuncture and Loratadine.
I 100% promethazine if you have that plus an accupressure hayband, and a lloyds pharmacy light therapy thingy i stick up my nose lol.... Xxx
