I was in plaster for four weeks in total after having the bones pinned. Good luck.
Sorry to hear about your accident. I don't know how long the medical treatment will take. Have you contacted a lawyer?

no need for a lawyer the bus was stationary and it was my stupid fault
I was in plaster for 9 weeks but had to have metal plate and rods. Normally for a fracture or a break you can be looking at 4-6 weeks. I feel for you, very painful. Hope you feel better soon.
If the bones reunite in the first instant, then between 4 to 6 weeks.
Are you really the best judge of whose fault it was? Talking to a lawyer wouldn't cost you anything and might be well worth your time.
Sandyroe! shame on you! picturepost already said that the accident was their fault - why push the issue? when someone says that they are to blame for their own misfortune, leave it at that.....dear me - and then people blame Solicitors for the so called "compensation culture", seems to me its caused by compensation vultures......
what a gratifying thing it was for some one to own up to ' it was my own stupid fault' - shame on you sandyroe for encouraging the compensation culture. We are all responsible for our own actions and if, on occasions, things aren't 100% right, then deal with it.
I detest with a passion bordering on lunacy the attitude displayed by sandyRoe.
Yeah Sandy...you bad man!! lol
Hi picturepost, sorry to hear of your fall. It is usually in plaster between 4 and 6 weeks. Be thankful it isn't a scaphoid fracture at base of thumb as I was in plaster 12 weeks. Hope all goes well.
You try to guide someone who's acting against their own best interests and this is the thanks you get.
I don't know...
Where there's blame there's a claim!!

Picturepost made it clear there is no blame.
I've already said that the OP may not be the best judge of that.

Ouch, you poor thing. I broke a metatarsal in my foot several years ago and was an absolute pain to heal, so i feel for you. Hope it heals nice and quick.

Look, all you lovely people out there. Thankyou for your concern. I have told the wife, [Picturepost] to climb onto buses in the future, and not to throw herself on. Signed now Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. LoL
