Little update on me

Went to the doc to get more propranolol...

She was SO LOVELY i could have hugged her...

Had to explain my situation to her and mentioned my sleeping thing .... (you all know the story)

Shes increased my dose from 30mg a day to upto 120mg!

Start off 40once a day, and try twice a day or three times a day depending on how it works...will hopefully "flatten" me a bit at night...

Bought more socks cos im blinking cold with using them LOL and she said its been quick for counselling so not long to wait.

Feeling positive....will see what tonight brings xxx

Nice to meet you barcelonic!!!

Feel free to have a nosey through my older threads- the propranolol was recently given for anxiety. Its all so out of character for me, but panic attacks were getting out of control even when asleep!!!

I was a good bit better with a lower dose but still waking up alot with an adrenalin rush and silly thoughts keeping me from going back asleep!! With any luck todays newley prescribed higher dose will help that! And awaiting counselling!!!

So feeling positive. Job interview soon- and this is just a little phase i hope as its sooooooo not like me hehe- and thank you for the well wishes. !! The GP was second to none. Even told me to call whenever xxx
You sound more positive now things are moving, job, counselling, lets hope
these meds can help in the short term, try and stay to the lowest dosage,
just think of the others as backup, (just in case).

Now, turn AB OFF!! and get some sleep. xxx
wow you're GP sounds great. i have a condition which includes anxiety - i take clonazepam and have done for a couple years now. it helps relax my muscles all over and feel a little drowsy which is great cus i cant sleep easy.

my whole life i've had bad experiences with doctors - im sure many ppl have. I've got v little trust in them anymore tbh but thats my problem lol - i do know there are good docs out there I'm just still waiting for mine i guess

i saw your name and thought you may have been a different tinkerbell from a different forum, but i don't think so
Still felt compelled to post though as I related to your post :)

Good luck with your interview, and make sure to go easy on yourself and take a vacation or something when you feel up to it. I recommend the Maldives! :) xx
