teeth and being diabetic

im type 2 diabetic and since being diabetic my teeth have all rotted. ive been told this sometimes happens. has this happened to anyone else? also im terrified about having false teeth. any advice would be great.

I had an overwhelming phobia of the dentist so had all my teeth out in a NHS clinic under anaesthetic, best thing I ever did concerning my teeth. I am still unnerved going to the dentist but no vomiting etc. with fear. I have had dentures for 30 years( not the same set ha) and they are fine. I use denture fixative though for extra confidence. Good luck at the dentist and too with managing your diabetes.
