I found a moveable lump in my breast.. i feel these lumps all over but this one that scares me is a lot bigger.. its about the size of a apple seed.. i have an appointment with my doctor but that's not until next week.. I had a breast exam like 2 months ago and the doctor said he felt a cyst but im not sure if its the same spot im feeling. I only have one person in my family that has breast cancer and that's my cousin.. she is only 26 yrs old.

A lump that size is nothing to get too fretful over and it is in all likelihood a small cyst, nothing more.
As you're seeing your GP next week anyway it's doubtful that it will grow in the interim period, certainly not to anything that would be deemed a 'nasty'.

Try not to worry too much.
Chase the doctor for an earlier appointment just to either put your mind at rest or start the ball rolling for any investigations if you need them... Usually nothing but Having someone in your close family have breast cancer at a young age it is natural to worry yourself sick...
It's easy to panic when there's cancer in the family but as philtaz said a 'lump' the size of an apple seed is probably just a bit of breast tissue and one week won't make any difference.
Lots of women find lumps there, most of them turn out to be nothing. I had a lump in my breast, after the docor examined it he said it was nothing to worry about. I know it is easy to say don't worry, but just try to be positive until you have seen the doctor. Heres hoping for good news for you.
It won't make any difference to the lump but it will to harleysmommy's head.. not knowing can drive you to distraction..
Did you tell the surgery why you needed to see the doctor, when you made the appointment? If not, tell them - they might fit you in sooner.
Two of my three daughters found lumps in their breasts, one of them on two separate occasions, and tests were carried out - in each case, thank god, nothing serious was found, but at the time it was very worrying especially because my mum died from breast cancer, in both breasts, and my aunt also had breast cancer, which was successfully treated. Also their mother died from cancer, and also my father died from cancer, so high incidences of it in my family.
The sooner you know what it is, the better for you, wishing you a healthy outcome.
From your descrption......it doesn't sound sinister.

Thanks everyone for your reply's. I'm still scared and will be until the doctor tells me its nothing.. (hoping he does!) I go to the doctor on Monday and will let everyone know what the doctor says!
I saw on TV that a blood test can now reveal whether someone is likely to develop cancer, Also that a 75 milligram aspirin tablet taken once per day can help to ward off cancer
will most likely be nothing !!!..let us know wont you ?
Do you realise that Monday is a Bank Holiday, harleysmommy?
you need to keep calm because stress can adversely affect you! you will find out what it is and it will be treated! stay strong!

remember: most of these incidents are not anything sinister!

(((hugs)))

As a rule of thumb. If the lump moves about then it is usually a cyst, but if it feels attached then it could be more serious, but not necessarily cancer.
99% of lumps are not serious. It won't stop you worrying though.
I can understand why you're scared - it's so easy to get caught up in the worst case scenario. But as everyone ese has said - in all probability it's nothing to worry about. But as Rowan said, it's worth pressing for an earlier appointment if you can, just to set your mind at rest. Let us know how you get on. x
