Unhappy with sutures

I had a minor procedure yesterday involving a 2.5" cut. When I changed the dressing this morning I was horrified to find the roughest looking suturing I have ever seen. The edges of the skin are not neat but puckered and I think I will end up with a Frankenstein scar. Can anything be done?

C'mon Mrs O - I know you giggled at those last posts, I did. : )
of, she's just an old sew-and-sew, Smowball.
good news mrs.o, but seriously is this the state of the NHS when a patient has to return to hospital to have bad suturing redone ? which they ( the patient ) knew was a mess ? disgraceful :(
Good for you mrs.o.................years ago I had an op on my knee but couldn't see the sutures as my leg was in pot for 6 weeks following the op. When all was revealed the stitching had been an absolute mess and I was left with a dreadful seven inch long scar.

Blimey craft, that is terrible.
I can't imagine having a scar the full length of my leg like that

<<<<runs away>>>>
lol

bio oil is quite good, i've nearly got rid of a nasty burn scar on my wrist now
Question Author
fluff, I swear by Bio Oil for just about everything - brilliant stuff
I've used bio oil fluff on other small scars but unfortunately it doesn't seem to help with the one on my leg. It shows up that much I used to get sick of people telling me I'd laddered my tights when it was actually the bloody scar.
Question Author
craft, if it is that bad, have you tried the make up the Red Cross sell to completely cover scars?
mrs.o I wear trousers or maxi skirts all the time now so am not bothered so much. It does tend to 'glow' when sunbathing though.
