loss of weight effect a tattoo?

next month im booked in for a tattoo appointment which ive been waiting for for 7 months as he is so booked up. its on my thigh but im worried that as ive out on a bit of weight recently (thank you easter) im hoping to loose it but if i get the tattoo done then loose weight, will it effect the picture or is the ink put to far in? i do have a lot of others but none in a place that changes shape so often...

and no comments saying things like 'if your so nervous then dont get it, cause that doesnt help' lol

I know someone who had a dolphin tattoo and then lost a lot of weight.
The dolphin looked as if it had once had dentures and someone had pulled them out
Is your skin likely to shrink back to the size it was? As you get older the skin looses its elasticity.
some weight loss won't really affect a tattoo. if you lose tons of weight, it will. your best bet is to phone the artist you are booked with and ask if you are unsure. a thigh is a relatively smooth area, so i reckon you'll probably be alright.

not planning on loosing a ton, i love my curves, just a few inches off...
I've lost I've 4 stone in the last year and my tattoos do not look any different.
Two on my upper arms ( arms have shrunk considerably) and one on my back.
They all look fine.
