Leukaemia

Is it possible after four years, for leukaemia to come back after a full bone marrow transplant ?

Bone marrow transplants offer the best chance of long term remission. There is however, a risk of relapse, the relapse rate being around 30% or so, sadly.

I agree with Lazygun, but are we dealing with a child OR an adult?

If a child, depending upon the type of leukaemia, then the rates of relapse following bone marrow transplant may fall to 10%.

If it is an adult, then ignore my post.
