Is it possible to get trapped wind in your collarbones?
For a few months now I have been suffering from attacks of trapped wind(mainly due to being inactive and sitting on a call-centre for 7 hours a day at work). It seems to travel up to my collarbones (mainly left collarbone) and is really painful by the end of some days. I have tried drinking peppermint tea, which helps a bit, any other suggestions?
It's probably repetitive strain, you probably sit in the same position all day. I got this when I was hunched over a desk doing stupid checking jobs, it happened to a lot of staff so we had to have new desks and all sorts of other instruments to help our posture whilst working.
Well, without knowing much about your symptom, just about your occupation i would have thought that acid reflux or GERD may well be high up in the list of probable diagnosis and that an antacid (Gaviscon) may well relieve your symptoms.
Google GERD and get back to us for more information.
I have always suffered from indigestion/acid from my teenage years (am now 42), I am not overweight at all, but just seem to be getting more build up of wind as the food seems to sit there as I am sitting all day (I dont get it when I am off work). I will give Gaviscon a try, thanks all.
