Probiotics - what's the best brand to buy?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to find a decent probiotic to buy. I've been told to get one that contains Bifidopacteria as well as the usual Acidophilus. I'd also like to find one that reaches the lower gut. Apparently you need to look for one that's advertised as withstanding gut acid.

The problem is, whenever I Google for info I just get articles pushing a particular brand. I can't find an inbiased report on the best brands to buy.

They're not cheap, so I don't want to throw money away on the the wrong supplements.

Can anyone recommend one that they've been taking.

Thanks very much.

I haven't used any but I think I read somewhere the Activa ones are the best
When I had finished a course of antibiotics, and they had an unfortunate affect on my system, a friend recommended Quest probiotics. I've no idea how they compare with others, but seemed to be good to me.
I remember reading that the Morrisons own brand was tops. The reason I remember this, is because I have not got a Morrisons near me!
+1 to funnygirls answer, Chris posted a link to the article not long back.
