I took it years ago and I didn't have any problems with it. All of those little leaflets inside pill cartons look scary don't you think?

Question Author
I don't usually bother reading them as I'm never normally in need for anything stronger then a bit of nurofen so thought I should read up a bit. Wish I hadn't now!

taken it for my fibro when it effected my chest muscles, absoloutley fine no worries but medicine reacts differntly with all people is this for your bum/hip pain chick?

I take 2 * 500mg daily for migraines and arthritis and have had no side effects at all. I have been taking it for about a year now, don't rate it massively for pain relief for my migraines though.

Yeah, you were spot on firewatch with your suggestion of sciatica. I hope you saw my apology to you for dismissing it so quickly on the other thread.
Think I should stop reading medical stuff on the net now :)

You know what Bagpuss, I was wondering if there was any pain relief at all from it. It certainly doesn't seem like it although I've only taken two so far so I will give it a chance.

Google is evil, and thats ok babes sciatica affects people differntly mine starts in my coccyx then spread down my left leg or across both hipsxx

Question Author
Yep, even the doc had a bit of a go at me today when I suggested it wasn't painful enough to be that.
Glad I haven't suffered like you seem to :(

Bagpuss, Have you tried Imigran for your migraines? I take one at the first inkling of one coming and it stops it dead - it rarely ever comes after I take the tablet

I find Migraleve good for heading off migraines. I was on amitripilyne too for a while for chronic pain relief and that calmed them down as well.
Identifying triggers helped me too as I found certain things made mine worse, Dianette contraceptive pill and artificial sweetners in particular. I find drinking a lot of water helps (though I have cordial in it) rather than fizzy drinks and alcohol and eating better without refined and processed foods.

I take the same for my shoulder... well i'm supposed to. I started off taking two but only take one a day now because the pain isn't as bad.
I never had any reactions to it that I can think of. Now you've got me curious as to what scary side effect they have though!! =s

|
i took it a while ago and it had absolutely no effect on me

GP swapped me from Diclofenac to Naproxen. I get no relief from Naproxen whatsoever and no side effects except for constipation. Gave up on it and resorted to Paracetamol + Ibuprofen which worked far better for treating my backache.
Hope you get on ok with it EvianBaby i'm sure you will be fine........x

I got taken off regular diclofenac after some research found a link to heart attacks. By and large, though, everything has scary side effects; normally you just ignore them - but bear them in mind just in case anything does go wrong. I had a seriously unwanted side-effect from a jetlag pill last year, and was able to identify the problem pretty quickly. Normally I don't have problems with anything. Everyone is different.

i take it for hypermobility...no noticed any great benefit...but no side affects either
|

I have hypermobility Joko and I don't notice any difference in my usual aches and pains. I take it for the inflamed tendon in my shoulder and it works for that.
