I actually quite like visiting the quack but, since I've only had one minor problem (involving 3 visits) in the last quarter of a century, I don't get there very often!
(I'd lived at this address for 15 years before I even bothered to change my GP).
PS: Simply walking past a dentist's surgery makes me feel ill!
nope I dont care what I say to the doctors, thats what they are there for. Next week I have to go to hospital for a scan though and not looking forward to that.

Doctor Bell fell down the well,
And broke his collar bone,
Doctors should attend the sick,
And leave the well alone.

Hope this little ditty helps.

Hahaha jonny! V good xx
I refuse to see my GP for any reason even though I have lung disease.
no, i like having a wee chat with my gp. hes very nice. daffy do you not like your gp ?

Aww daffy cant u switch!?

My GP is lovely really lovely but i just get all " fingers n thumbs" x
I don't like any GP anne, the ones at my surgery are particularly useless though. It took them almost 3 years to refer me to the hospital when my lung problems became worse. I thought my asthma was getting worse when I actually have a genetic condition that could have been treated before it got to the stage of terminal/untreatable.
I hate going to the surgery!.....full of sick folk, never know what germs you might encounter, I stay away as much as possible!.....only been there twice in seven years!........
daffy, im sorry to see your post, but i do think confidence in our gp is essential, would you think of changing to another practice ?
I must be the exception :)
We are on first name terms (we do get to see each other quite regularly), I have a right to urgent appointments - all I need now is my own car parking space. I am fortunate that he is a lovely man, the senior partner at my practice and never tries to hurry my appointments along.
No...my doctors are great.
Becuse my depression gets worse very quickly and I struggle with the' phone early and maybe get seen at 11.30... system' my GP has left it so I can turn up and he will fit me in... Big practice... and different docs are good for different things.... although one of them is not too good with cardiac stuff... I had to read the ECG for him... because the automatic analysis said I'd had a heart attack... I hadn't...
Yes, I hate going to the doctors as I always feel like I'm wasting their time and there is nothing really wrong with me so I save up a nice long list of symptoms/problems before I go to make sure it's worth me visiting. So far on my next trip I need a repeat prescription, repeat blood tests, possible pain killers and a new inhaler.

Daffy thats disgusting- terrible!!!! Id swap - even if u dont like them they mist be better than that!

Ooh rowan thats a good service ad ttfn! As i say my GP is lovely..i dont kno why i feel that way. Mabye cos im facing my "problem"lol x
I usually quite like going to the doctors, although it doesn't happen often. I don't get normal things wrong with me, I get things they can never quite work out and it confuses them. I enjoy it.
I used to get very nervous going to see the nurse for a prescription for the pill! No idea why as I wasn't worried about anything particular; think it was the sitting in the waiting room that got me all nervy! My blood pressure would always be high the first time they took it and they would have to take it again by which point I would have calmed down a bit!
I used to love my lady doctor she was brilliant and you could chat to her like a friend. Unfortunately she has gone over as a locum in the practice due to family commitments and I have been changed to a surly male doc - I have changed 3 times but still can't find a nice one .............. that makes me nervous!
