weight and scales...!?

this morning i weighed myself...it said 10.10... i was surprised as yesterday i was 10.6... however i went out for an hour and weighed myself again - i was 10.7... then again about an hour later i was 10.9...

these are electric scales, and i hadnt eaten at all until after the 10.9 reading...and before then had only drank about a glass of water...

whats going on there? i surely cant be putting weight on an off like that...!

thanks

I was always told that if you're trying to lose weight then weighing yourself daily was a bad idea. Your weight does fluctuate througout the day and you are more likely to get more realistic result by weighing yourself once a week.

Although this comes from someone who has been too scared to even look at my scales for a year.

i dont normally weight myself that often it was just because i notice the odd result and did it again...and again just to test the scales ...

i am only weighing myself at all because i am doing the atkins and wanting to see if its working... normally its about every 2 weeks or so...

i also have the scales positioned in a through way so stepping on them as i pass is very easy
If you were to do a graph as OG mentioned, then over a month the trend would most likely be downwards. That's what counts in the long run...( says she who still weighs more often than necessary to make sure the weight is STAYING off... :-0)
