can anyone tell me the name of the tonic that was yellow clear and very thick with a greenish tinge. thank you

i answered this in food and drink, it's minadex.
eth......ah!.....Minadex.........I had forgotten that one.
What I do remember is having a tbsp of cod liver oil and malt and a Horlick tablet every morning as we went into school in the 1940`s.
I liked that cod liver oil and malt. Wonder if they still make it. Might make a nice spread!! lol
carlton23, cod liver oil and malt with a couple of salted peanuts to take away the taste of the oil. Happy days! :)

Boots Chemist do the Malt & Codliver Oil
There was also halibut liver oil and malt. Cheaper than the cod variety, but didn't taste as nice.
I can also remember Parrish's Liquid. Can't remember what it was for (probably the bowels) but it tasted gorgeous.

Nurse Dinneford's Gripewater. Lovely stuff, no wonder I took to drink!
