Im 16 and had alot to drink last night and i woke up this morning with excruciating stomach pains, like sharp shooting pains. The pain is now pretty much located in the right side of my stomach and it hurts so much when i move like walk and stuff. its ok if im not moving as the shooting pains have stopped but when i move it hurts alot. Is this just a side effect of the alot of alcohol i had last night or what and is there anything i can do to get rid of it!

Have you been sick at all? If so, maybe you have pulled a muscle or two. Otherwise I don't know. You could try ringing NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 - at this time of night the call will be free. Hope this helps. Take care.

no i havn't been sick
It could very well be the result of all the alcohol you had last night. You say you are 16 and had a lot to drink. Maybe this is your body telliing you it cant cope with the amount you have drunk. If the pains dont subside, over the next while then a trip to your GP is advised.

i didnt pass out or throw up or anything from the alcohol and i have had similar and more amounts in the past and have never experienced this before
I think you need to phone NHS 24/NHS Direct ASAP.
They will advise you much better than anyone on here can.
This sounds like Alcoholic Gastritis, in which case it should settle down today....no big deal, but do stop this "binge drinking" otherwise "there may be trouble ahead"

Other less likely conditions come to mind, so if it doesnt settle or gets worse, then see your GP.
the best advice has been given above, if it feels like a stitch or cramp then try slow deep breaths so oxygen can reach your organs that it maybe affecting (if it is alcohol related)

hope your careful in future though... doesn't sound good.
Could it be appendix problem? A simple test is to lie down and get your mum or dad to give you a sharp push down on the lower right side, and if its agony, then get to your GP sharpish.
