AB?
wish you better soon Den x
happens that way sometimes doesn't it? i sometimes get one which hovers around fora couple of weeks, not severe but just there all the time on a low level. and then i suddenly realise it's gone.
can't help about a virus though.
Den, could it be because you are stressed. I think a virus could cause it though. Viruses of one type or another always seem to be going round. I had a headache, earache and dizziness a few weeks ago, which seemed never ending, but they have now gone.

Hope you feel better soon. Are you trying to keep going with it? - might be better if you took to your bed and had a good long sleep - animals do this when they are not well - we are not as sensible!!

Take care xx

Thanks ttfn.

ethandron and Lottie - I thought about stress, but it does'nt seem like a stress headache and if it was painkillers would take it away. This just keeps on coming back - I have taken an array of painkillers, some just dull it, but it comes back. I did think it could be a virus. I also keep waking up in a pool of sweat.
If you`re waking up in a pool of sweat the headache could be the dehydration associated with that.
Any sinus problem Den? - Have you tried steaming? Fresh air and a good walk usually help my headaches
just a headache?

dehydration? if youre sweating so much that could be a reason.
Question Author
Thats a good point about dehydration - during the summer I drinks loads of bottled water, but I have noticed lately I am not drinking that much.

ttfn - no I don't suffer with sinus problems.
If you are waking up hot and sweaty during the night, then I would think a virus might well be responsible. I was like that with my earache/headache/ dizzy thingy.
have to add that a friend of mine finally went to GP after suffering a bad head all week as well as sweats and has been told she has the flu.

lots of it about
Awww! Den, wish you better soon. Trouble with headache's you're in a guessing game all the time aren't you?, In your 50s is a time for headache's anyway if I remember rightly (the Hormones) and you are stressed Den aren't you and now the night-sweats, I think its a combination of all 3. Perhaps a course of HRT will be able to put you right. It did wonders for me. -- Take care.

Red and Lottie - I think its a virusy thingy. I have just drank two big glass of water.

Hiya Jem - I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago, and have done the flushes and sweats bit - and even though I still get them from time to time, along with headaches etc., I have them under control. I won't take HRT Jem - I have coped o.k without it - I was only told to go on it because I have osteoporosis in my spine.
HRT proved a distaster for me. One month I took it and never again. I have osteoarthritis in my spine and border line osteoporosis. However, I would never resort to HRT. It may well suit some people but horrible things happened when I took it.
Question Author
I never tried it Lottie - but have been through the list of alternative remedies - none of them worked. I think with the flushes, its just something you get used to.

My osteoporosis was primarily caused by years of an over-active thyroid.
it so awful weather wise DEN so I'm still here..;p0)
Could it be stress? due to the pressure you have been under?
Question Author
could be Joy, but that sort of headache (and I've had many) usually go with painkillers.
Yes there is - my friend thought she had a really bad hangover but the sore head turned into a really bad throat and general tiredness. Lots of bugs around because of the mild and odd weather.
yes there is - my friend had it and thought she was drinking too much. It turned into a sore throat and tiredness and a big of a cold. She is ok now but it is the strange mild and damp weather we are having.

Thanks HAVEY.
There's loads of bugs going around here. I was told I had a bad virus (went to the doc's in tears because I felt so I'll). I have had an upset stomach for three weeks and hardly any appetite - I have been eating one bowl of cereal a day.
