Hi, i have a big problem when it comes to job interviews... i am ok in normal situations but as soon as it comes to a job interview i cannot control my nerves. I tend to shake vigrously to the point where it can be seen by other people and my heart beats fast, as if i am going to pass out. Needless to say, i am not getting the jobs i am interviewed for. Do u know of any tablets i can take that help this problem? I have looked up beta blockers but i do not think they will arrive in time, as i have a job interview next week. P.S I have tried breathing techniques & various other techniques but these do not help me.

I would go to your GP and ask for some beta blockers. Mine gave me some once when I was getting in a state about giving a presentation and he told me he thought they were a good short term solution for driving tests etc. They don't have the sleepy side-effects either. Kalms and Rescue Remedy is good for mild anxiety but doubt they would have much effect if you're that...

if you want something like this, go see your doctor. There was an interesting program about buying prescription meds on the net from sites where you don't need a prescription. They put all kinds of stuff in the tablets, not only will you probably not get what you paid for, but what you will get might be car paint, rat droppings, wall plaster etcetera. Have you tried rescue remedy? it comes in liquid or pastille form, doesn't need a prescription and works well for loads of people. Available from Boots and other pharmacies and health food shops
dont just order stuff online, beta blockers can be dangerous if not taken properly or prescribed. you would be better to see your doctor and meanwhile learn some relaxation techniques.
Valium probably.
I agree with woofgang; rescue remedy is good and it's nice to know you're not drugged up but have a helping hand.
i´d recommend you seeing a good masseur, a proper one, not a tart.
the one i see in spain gives a good hour of releasing all that stress by literally treating me like bread dough, by kneading me. it works for me,
Kalms tablets are very good, or rescue remedy.

Could you take a folder in with you to hang onto without it looking obvious you are? You would look organised if you have your CV etc... in it and it could give you something to focus on.

Have you tried grounding yourself? Making sure your feet are flat on the floo etc... dropping your jaw (without opening your mouth) can also help relax you. Focussing on a certain point can help though maybe not best if you can't do that and maintain normal eye contact in an interview!

Good luck!
i have a friend who uses rescue remedy for any stressful situation works for her

Definitely not valium if you want to perform well.
