Maybe
I have a a friend who had it done and was pleased with the result. I don't think I could bring myself to do it, but lots of people do.
My son had his done last year ... he was scared stiff ... but he'd had enough of wearing specs and lenses which were driving him mad.
He could see properly instantly ... and he will tell you it's the best thing he ever had done.
I know that not all will agree with that though ...
I know someone that had it done, and now they have 20/20 vision after years of thick glasses and the problems associated with contacts.
What laser treatment are you meaning here? I'm a diabetic and because the diabetis has damaged my eyes I have regular laser treatment. They do it with a gel that freezes the eye so you feel no pain.My next session I will have to go into theatre to have done as its quite extensive. But Its nothing to do with the vision laser. Thats purely cosmetic.

ive had a few of those zaps too jem,
i hope you get on ok with your next lot...
is it bleeding thats occurring behind your eyes?
whats your sight like at the moment on the eye chart?
Yes Looby, bleeding behind the eye's (Retinopothy) I've had several bouts over the years & as I'm getting older it seems to be occuring more often. My vision isn't too bad can read first 4 lines. I suffer from a lot of 'floaters' though which come & go.
I had a Vitreousectomy last year as I went blind in my right eye, things are ok right now.
Thank god for the NHS.

jem.
it only takes 5 minutes. go for it!
jemisa/loobyloo............you are talking about photocoagulation for retinal bleeding, but Ric.ror is discussing laser treatment for optical correction of eyesight...different procedures.
i know someone who had it done, cost over 2k and they still have to wear glasses for some reading!!
Sqad -- I am aware of the difference but in his orig post he just said he was going for "Laser Eye Treatment" not what type, thats why I said what I said.
Nevertheless what we have (Looby & I) is still called "Laser Eye Treatment" & Thats what it says on my hospital letter.
jemisa...true.
thanks squad, im aware of the difference too, was just asking jem about her eyes thats all.
Sqad -- Friends?? Big Hugs. :o)
