No vitamins "boost" your immune system.
Question Author
What can i do then to boost it, i think it may be my diet as such, as i only eat white meat no red at all and havent done for many years, but i do eat salad and veg.
Why do you think it needs "boosting?"
Question Author
As my last post said last week i suffer from Vaginal infections so often, my hubby is clear of any infections so i thought it may be something to do with my immune system.
There's nothing wrong with not eating red meat. You can get what you need from other foods. How balanced is your diet?
a simple blood test from your GP would give a good indication of the status of your immune system.

Ummmm...is quite correct.
Question Author
I think my diet is fairly good, allthough i do tend to eat a lot of sugary foods, cakes, sweets, and chocolate is my biggest downfall, but i eat mainly chicken, but with veg and i eat salads once or maybe twice a week, i dont drink much alcohol.
Question Author
I have asked the gp on many occasions for a blood test but they never seem to give me one.
What kind of infections are you getting?

Sqad....isn't sugar related to that?
Question Author
Thrush and BV but mainly the thrush im getting this about every couple of months and have done for such a long time.
ummmm....if by "sugar" you mean Diabetes, then yes, it might well be, but I am sure that tamirra has been tested for Diabetes.

If that is not what you are asking, then I cannot see the relationship between high sugar diet and vaginal infections.
Sorry Tamirra....looks like you are going to have to knock the sweets and chocolate on the head. Sugar feeds it.
Question Author
Ive not been tested for Diabetes, when i get the infections all they do is give me antibiotics, but if it was anything to do with Diabetes wouldnt i have a great thirst and other symptoms by now if this is an ongoing problem Sqad.
I've just googled it and sugar comes up over and over again.
tamiira...you might..........OR you might not.

A simple urine test would answer that question for you.
Question Author
I had heard this about the sugar and thrush, but my nurse said it cant cause thrush but it can make symptoms worse.
Eat a good healthy diet, minimising sugar intake (sugar helps the bad guys grow). Include good yoghurt or acidophilus every day.

Loads of statements like that ^^^^
Question Author
I may not know if i have Diabetes, but is having Diabetes a cause of thrush then.
Question Author
I know you can buy acidophilus in vitamin form, is that any good?
