sorry - should have said positive for blood in poo.
Hi Den xx

Whats a positive poo test, hun?.......is that when you definately identify it as poo....and say " Look. it's poo!" :0)
sorry Den but this is making me laugh
Oh...ok? i gotcha......errm....you mean a stool test.......yes a long time ago though......it was negative.

Have you had one then/gonna have one, sweetheart?

I don't think I worded this right - Mr. Den had his normal yearly medical from work and they give you one of those poo tests that detect blood somewhere in your colon - well his has come back positive.
oops sorry you hadn;t posted then :-(

nope sorry, hope you're ok
Then he needs a Colonoscopy.
Yes - I assume you mean the over 60's home testing kit.

My first one was unclear, second one was positive and came with an appointment to see the nurse at local hospital for chat about colonoscopy which I had done in Feb. Nothing showed up.

Are you just asking or have you had a positive result?
Oh sorry to hear that my lovely.......blood in your poo could be caused by a number of things, including if he has recently strained and caused a tear inside, so dont immediately fear the worst. Make an appointment with your GP if he would feel better to go and have a more thorough check to see what has caused it, .....and i wish you all the best, sweetheart xx

No Fox Lee - its not me its Mr. Den. He had one at last year's medical and it was clear. He also had an operation last May to remove his piles and skin tag. The one this year has come back positive.

Yes, its one of those over 60's stool tests.
Sqad is spot on, as he usually is, Den

( Hi, that man )
Den - your previous post wasn't there when I posted my reply. If you want any more info. on colonoscopies etc., just ask
Hi...Yogi.......not always spot on...;-)
yup colonoscopy next. Most times its nothing and even if its something (My DH's was last year, its very treatable. Did he avoid red meats before the test?
Dont be modest now, squiddly.......your class, and you know it xx ( manly docspock type kisses ).

Hope you're well, and still doing Kiev type deals to ensure you win at snooker......lol :0)

Den,

Try not to worry as it may just be nothing so just get it checked out for peace of mind for your lovely hub's, sweetie xx
I had one and the Doctor was positive it was a Poo!
the colonoscopy will tell him what's up. Most times it's what's called an anal fissure - a slight tear in the lining of the area that allows a small amount of blood through - harmless and heals itself. It's incredibly important that he doesn't ignore this or put it off though, as anything more serious will need to be treated earlier rather than later.
