My right eyelid has been twitching continually for the last 4 weeks. It does not hurt although it is annoying sometimes. A friend suggested that it was stress related. I haven't been to the Doctors as it seems very trivial to be bothering them with. Any advice please.

I'd say it's tiredness, but if it's 24/7 I'd go to the doctors.
My bottom right eyelid has been doing the same all week... In my case I think it is due to tiredness/lack of sleep... and spending too much time on the laptop...
It happens to me when I am overtired - have you been overdoing it? It's unusual for it to be doing it continuously though. Why don't you pop into your local pharmacy? - the pharmacists are well able to give advice on lots of things and they can advise whether you need to see your GP. If not, do you have a local walk-in centre where you could drop in. I would - it's been going on a long time!
I had exactly that ,continuously for several weeks during the past few months. Reading your question suddenly made me realise that it has stopped at some time all by itself and I'm not aware of having done anything to make that happen.
I would also agree with the tiredness suggestions, mine does it when I need more sleep
I agree -its usually when im overtired that I start 'twitching' and thats nor bird watching!!

I find that once im concious of it it seems to take ages to go away -but it does -really.

Have a bottle of wineand a good nights sleep and you'll be sound come morning -or even have Nytol to give you a decent sleep.

You'll be fine x
Good idea Dris,my eye is not twitching at the mo,but, just to research,I will try your idea.

Thanks people for your advice I will pop in to pharmacist and see if he thinks I should go. Thank you for not thinking that I am idiot. I know its been there a long time but it does seem trivial. And you are right I have been pretty tired in the last few weeks due to pressures of work
Muscle fasiculation.....normal....no need to bother your GP........it will go without treatment.
