vomiting after a meal

My grandma has recently been vomiting after a meal. Im told its happening around once a week. Im concerned about this. She suffers from angina. Could this be linked to it?

Still worth checking it out with her doctor. Worries won't help your gran out. If there is a problem there diagnosis is important so something may be done to improve life for the lady.

Could it be a hiatus hernia?
I too have angina but have never suffered this as a link - thank goodness. Hope she is ok.
Evening filthiestfis,

Has she been to her GP yet? Has she been poorly recently due to cold, flu, any bugs etc? You say about once a week.......for how long now?

If not the best thing to do,would be to arrange for her to be seen by a doctor ASAP and get checked out? it may be something quite simple that can be identified and will give you, and her, peace of mind too.

Best of luck and i hope she gets better soon.
I have the hiatus hernia too but medication is keeping it in check and that hasn't caused me any vomiting either

Well she says she has had a hernia for many many years.
As I live abroad Im not there to find out more but mum tells me its been happening more frequently lately, but how often is that lately? I have told mum to take her to the gp but I think mum is scared of finding out something bad. After all she had to go through my dad's cancer and passing away last year.
i'm sorry and can see why your mum might feel a little anxious to go and see a GP with her, but it's the best and only option that i can see, if grandma does'nt improve soon.

Is there anyone else that can go with her, if mum a bit nervous?

Apparently it is not vomiting but hiccups followed by phlegm

Angina and "vomiting" are not connected.

Not enough information to suggest a credible diagnosis,so she should see he GP.
"Apparently it is not vomiting but hiccups followed by phlegm"

Could be Gastro-oesophageal reflux (acid reflux) related, as that brings on phlegm symptoms. As we've said, a check up at the doctors is the best option for a proper diagnosis. Good luck
