Hi AB ers

I have in the past suffered with migraines, however they have subsided but I am now getting severe pain behind my left ear when waking, and my head behind the ear is sore and very tender to the touch. I have recently been prescribed clonidine, for the help with migraines I was getting, but only been taking them a week and the doctor wants me to persevere for a month before going back. Has anyone experienced this pain and any idea what it could be, its not in the ear but behind the ear on the head.. Just took 3 nurofen and its wearing off.............:-)

Sounds like referred pain from your neck, probably do to some minor degenerative condition in the cervical spine.

The analgesics that you have opted to take, seem to be working, so stick with them.

Squad, apart from exercises is there anything else u can suggest that might help?

Thank you in anticipation of an answer x
tilly....analgesics and exercises are the mainstay of treatment in this condition but if it doesn't settle then physiotherapy should improve the situation.
