Anyone know about medicines?

Iv just had my tonsils out and am about to run out of my stash of Codine... does anyone know if you can buy it over the counter or will i need to go get myself a prescription to get some more?????
OR
Can anyone recommend a better, stronger type of painkiller that comes in a small pill form... cant physically swallow normal sized pills at the mo...!

You can certainly buy paracetamol and codeine at Boots....they even have an effervescent form.
Ask the pharmacist.
You might try ibuprofen as an alternative.
(I am assuming that you are an adult.)

You can get painkillers that contain codeine over the counter up to a certain quantity
(I think it's a max of 13mg per tab) Solpadene Plus is one that contains paracetamol and codeine.

Eat solid foods.....crisps, cornflakes etc.

Get some liquid Ibuprofen from the chemist.
