Pre-Christmas weight loss...

Decided today to try and shift some weight before Christmas, obviously it won't be a lot as its only five weeks away, but I want to wear a nice dress when I go out on Christmas Eve. I have embarked on a healthy eating plan and have decided to do one hour of excercise in the evening as I work all day. Tonight I did 30 minutes on the rowing machine, then 30 minutes on the cross trainer, and I want to do this every night until Christmas Eve. How much weight do you think I can realistically lose in five weeks if I stick to this plan?

All depends how much you weigh now. I've found exercise alone (unless for a few hours a day) doesn't help you lose weight but it does tone you up. If between now and Christmas you cut back on all fats and eat lean only meat or fish as protein (no cheese, or fried foods) you'll probably end up losing some weight in the bargain.
