colour blindess - career restriction?

A friend of mine really wants to become a pharmacist - God knows she's bright enough! The only problem is that she is colour blind. I think it's pink & orange she has trouble with.
Does anyone know if this will affect her prospects?

"Students, who are colour-blind are strongly discouraged from taking up Pharmacy as the inability to see and differentiate the colours of tablets and capsules accurately, may pose a danger to patients, if they work in the patient care areas. Hence, the career prospects for these students may be limited. "
