In your reply to me regarding the powerplate exercises you say not to place head, spine or stomach etc directly on to the plate, but on the poor, (and very uninformative), instructions i got with my Powerplate there is an exercise for the stomach, with a picture, of someone lying stomach down on the plate. Can you tell me why it's NOT recommended to do this as i do not wish myself or my wife being injured? Hope this is not too much bother, if it is please say. Many thanks Stevie

I don't recall having seen any exercises with the stomach on the machine. We have the posters at work and I haven't seen anything like that, also, I can't see how any stomach exercise can be done whilst lying face down, sounds a bit odd to me. You shouldn't place stomach directly onto the machine, as it may be unsafe to have your internal organs vibrated about. Research is still ongoing with Powerplate, so I suppose they are covering themselves, as far as safety is concerned.

The only other thing I can think of, is with the user lying on a workout step, face down with the legs, including upper thighs, but not hips on the plate, if so, then this is for the massage mode.

Do you have the genuine Powerplate machine or a different one from another manufacturer?

Hi Velvetee, thanx for your reply.
I think it's safer to not do the stomach on the plate excercise until more reserch /information is available.
Also I do not have the original Powerplate, (far too expensive), I have a Powerfit massage/excercise plate, cheaper, (but hopefully), effective.
Anyway, thanx again for you help, I've noticed you have asked other questions on this site, sorry I can't be as much help to you as you've been to me.
Good luck
Stevie.
