In the past ten days, four people whom I work closely with have been off work sic with the flu, one of which was told by a doctor apparently that it is caused by a virus putting pressure at the back of the head causing back pain etc and resulting in vomitting / diahorrea.

With all of these people it started with an achy neck and giddiness, now i have had this since Friday but have been drinking plenty of water, eating lots of fresh fruit (part. Vit C) and making sure I have plenty of rest. However the dizziness and head aches don't go. Is there anything else i can do to stop it from getting me? I am going on my honeymoon on Saturday and this is the last thing I want! also I have been taking lemsips when the headaches get too bad.
