I've been seriously overweight for all my life and got to 22 stone 8 pounds and decided to do something.
I started the 800 calories a day diet which is specifically aimed at those with type 2 diabetes. I've done it for just over 6 weeks now and have had a few "bad" days (about 6 in total) where I ate slightly more. I've also combined this with an exercise class of an hour 2 or 3 times a week.
I've lost just over 2 stone in weight which I'm delighted about but there is a small part of me that thinks........I should have lost more weight?!!!
What do you all think? Many thanks.

No idea but well done Frankieola that's excellent.
I think you should have lost an 'a'.
800 calories is way way too little. I'm amazed your body hasn't gone into starvation mode!
Are you going to keep on exercising? it would be a good idea. Good luck and keep going.x
Do you have type 2?
It doesn't seem such a good idea to do such a low calorie diet unless you are under a doctors supervision...which is even more necessary if you are diabetic.
No...I don't think you should have lost more. 2 stone in 6 weeks is about 4 and a bit lbs per week...good by any standards and èxpected at the weight you were.
2 stone is too much over 6 weeks. 2 pound a week is the safe upper limit. Lose weight too fast and you'll bang it right back on again as soon as you come off your diet. If you just eat properly and eat a little less to lose weight and a little more to gain that would be better than starving yourself.
Don't think of it as a diet, it's a lifestyle choice and whatever you do don't go back to your original eating as your weight will just go back to 22 stone
and do allow yourself a small treat each day
