I was diagnosed in March with coeliac after a biopsy due to having low iron stores.I have suffered bloating and discomfort since last August,i have been on a gluten free diet for 7 weeks now and the discomfort seems to be getting no better.I was also diagnosed with a small hiatus hernia.I have been taken lansoprozle for about 6 years now due to acid.I am taking one 30mg in a morning and my doctor has just precribed 2 Rantinidine a day as well for 6 weeks. I am getting really down with stomach discomfort, does anybody know how long it will be before i start feeling normal again.Im sticking to the gluten free diet and not really finding it a problem.

I know nothing about this subject, though I'm sure some do.

Forums where you can talk to other people coping is often a great start - some links here.

I hope you feel more comfortable very soon.
Not my area of expertise.......but i feel that you are being impatient.
it may take time for the ling of the intestine to get back to normal and your symptoms will not subside until this happens. Six months on a Gluten free diet may be a reasonable time limit for your to be symptom free or certainly much better.
If after six months you are still not any better, then other consideration have to be taken into account.
