it lasts for about 5 days. It is not excruciating but bad enough. I have had it over the years. My sinuses are fine. This time I had a blurred vision for 5 minutes. I dont believe it is migraine as I am told the pain with that is really bad and you have to lie down in a darkened room. What could it be ?

You don't say whether the headache is unilateral(one sided) or bilateral ( both sides)
Also if you have any underlying medical conditions e.g diabetes or taking any tablets for any other reason.
Does Paracetamol or Ibuprofen ease the pain. For how many years have you been suffering these pains?

Without the above information, I would say that it is a type of migraine which could explain the headache and the blurred vision.
sounds like tension headaches

It is only across my forehead. Painkillers help I have had it for many years, just got used to it I thought it was just some form of head cold.
tamaris, do you grind your teeth in your sleep or have any jaw problems. This headache could be a knock on effect from another condition.
How do you know your sinuses are fine? This seems the obvious first culprit to me.

Prudie because I have no problem with them. I do not know if I grind my teeth as I sleep alone lol
