During one of the few brief sunny intervals today, I was lucky enough to see some of these, close to where I Live.
Their food plants where the eggs are laid for the larvae to develop are members of the mustard family.
Fortunately there is a good supply of garlic mustard, locally, which is just about to come into flower, which are one of the primary plants to ensure their survival.
This reminds me of the old adage 'A chain is only as strong as its weakest link'

How lovely. They are very pretty butterflies.
The case in point is this adage! Great! Frankly speaking, I also like orange-tips. It is a symbol of spring and the revival of nature for me.
Lovely, I've not seen any of those for a while now.
Very quiet for butterflies at the moment...possibly due to the cold spring we've had. A few white around in the garden this week but that's it. Saw a few Brimstones in April too but no orange tips yet
