I have pretty much suffered with a very sore mouth and gums this week

Rawness on gums where the wires of the denture go, blisters on tongue, extremely hard to get denture in.

Suffered all week (stupid me) but kept thinking every day "it will heal up".

Anyway where do I seek perhaps an antiobiotic - my GP, my Beldoc or emergency dentist at hospital.

I am loathe to go to any body and am thanking God that I have survived Holy Week and today (Easter Sunday). Right now - denture out and rawness keeps on in the gums. Sorry to have gone on right now but do want to know the right place to go. Thanks

Back to dentist. Sounds like it might be oral thrush which is fungal and not a bacterial infection.
Gargle a Pinch of salt in egg cup of warm water, till you see the medic
Agree with both above posts - definitely back to the dentist and in the interim before your appointment try to get some Difflam Oral Rinse - it is anti inflammatory and very good.
