Hi, just started eating raw garlic on an empty stomach in the mornings. I chew it up then swallow it down with a bit of milk. Is this still going to work? Or is the milk taking the benefits away? Also how long should I leave it before I eat breakfast? Any advice greatly appreciated! X

It will work ... if you are trying to get a seat on the bus on your own.
yeuch..why ??
Have no expert knowledge but my choice would be to ditch raw and invest in a lot of garlic bread :-)

(Not good if trying to lose weight though due to the quantity of butter that's usually used.)

I've not heard of heating garlic ruining anything. Nor of milk doing likewise. But I'm sure someone knowledgeable will be along soon.
why on earth would you do that????
We feed it to the hounds to keep the fleas away, not that I am suggesting anything.
I wouldn't eat raw garlic in it's own. I eat it with toms and melba toast.

What an odd thing to do!!
Why is it odd? I was served raw garlic in an Italian restaurant.
They also serve hot chilies in an Indian Restaurant, but they don't expect you to eat them raw on an empty stomach.
Yes, but eating it on its own first thing in the morning??? What does it do? Is it a health treatment?
hellywelly....it is supposed to reduce the chance of developing heart disease.
Squad - I notice you say 'supposed'. To me that says it all.
LOL......."jury is still out"........;-)
Well I suppose it can be taken at any point of the day. I can't see why it would do any harm though.
Would garlic tablets have the same affect as raw garlic ?.
The smell wouldn't be coming from your mouth with tablets ....but you would have the ability to clear a room in seconds.
LOL, I thought so.
