You want to watch you don't swallow it !

When I had a similar issue I was glad my dentist had convinced be to get a tooth guard to stop me grinding my teeth in my sleep. Saved my tongue until the dentist was free to sort the tooth out.
You can temporary filling stuff in any chemist. Will help in the short term
Internet search concensus is silicone earplugs are non-toxic if swallowed but still a choking hazard if inhaled.

I was going to suggest cutting a piece of wine cork to shape because it's food-grade but the choking hazard would be the same.

You would have to avoid sleeping while any temporary protection was at risk of coming loose.

That most recent A&E advert on telly singled out broken tooth victims and that really annoyed me because you can't sleep with a tongue-cutter.

I hope someone posts with advice about emergency dentistry.

Nothing would happen if you swallowed it........don't worry.

Inhaling it might give you problems.............
