Does anyonew know why you can't have false nails on when you go for surgery?

Is it just the stick on ones th mih come off? or does it also mean the acrylic ones that stay one for weeks?

I am going to a Christmas party 3 days before surgery (obviously if they don't cancell again) and wanted acrylic nails :)

The anaesthetist needs to be able to check the nail beds for blood oxygenation and capillary refill time, they can't do this if you have false nails or polish on.

I might get some stick on ones for the party but I bite my nails so badly that there is little nail left to stick anything to
