If you are sewing and drop a needle on the carpet, do NOT kneel down on the carpet to look for it.
Trust me when I say that a needle embedded straight into your knee with just the eye showing is not a pleasant experience.

I had a needle go straight through my toe once.
Isn't this your 2nd sewing needle catastrophe?

If so, give it up woman before you kill yourself!
oh you poor thing painful .i was doing a repair on a zip last night whilst watching corrie and the needle went straight into the cuticle of my finger made me say a few not very ladylike words lol

The last incident was me holding a pin in my lips whilst I had hiccups and it embedded itself in my tongue.

I never realised that sewing could be such a dangerous activity

Sounds very painful, better take care so there isn't a third incident! Hope it stops hurting soon.
I had to have mine removed at the hospital. They gave my an injection in between my toes....now that was really painful!!!
