Sweating when cold

I'm going to paint a really attractive picture of myself here but I'm just wondering if anyone else is the same.

When I go to bed I can't sleep without a blanket over me but hate being too hot so most night I have the window open. Normally as the temp drops in the middle of the night I wake up because of the cold and wrap myself back up in the duvet but even though I'm cold I'm still sweating buckets (lovely hey!).

Is that normal?

For me it is.
Without wishing to sound rude, are you of a certain age?
ha ha lol
All I can say is that's normal for me.
not an answer, but could you shut the window instead of grabbing the duvet in the wee small hours?

I'm about 30 years off a cetain age.

This might sound odd but I like the feeling cold bit because I can't stand being too hot. I just don't get why I sweat so much when I'm cold.
I think it's the sweating that makes you feel cold.

I actually got something called perspirex a few weeks ago after a friend recommended it. I flowed the instructions, I.e. putting it on just before bed and blow drying your under arms before use and the two mornings after I used it my armpits were literally burning. I had to wear baggy tops all day because it was so painful. :/
No, you're not alone :)

I have been sleeping under a throw for months now as I find it too warm under the duvet and it's easier to wrap around me to stick my feet out.

I also have a dehumidifier which blows cool air on me (and the window open) set on a timer so it goes off after an hour so I'm cool enough to get to sleep but then warm enough during the night with the throw on.

I don't have a hot bath or shower right before bed either as I get too warm then.
I tried something like that and I my underarms were burning for days!

Horrible isn't it. I really wish I could use the roll on as it seems to have an excellent success rate.

Is the dehumidifier noisy?
