Thrombosis?

My elderly uncle has a history of thrombosis. He was on warfarin until he had an angioplasty 3 months ago. Warfarin was stopped, and is now on aspirin and clopidogrel.
Today he has a very swollen ankle (suggesting a problem). I've advised seeing the doc first thing in the morning (which I will make sure he does) is there anything I should be doing in the mean time?

Thanks for any pointers.

Swollen ANKLE? that doesn't sound much like a thrombosis.

Maybe keep the leg raised or perhaps go to bed early and watch the Olympics on TV.

Thanks Sqad. Ankle is probably not thrombosis, is it? Just chatted to my mum and she reckons it's more likely to be related to his kidney problems! What do I know?

Anyhow, still making sure he sees the doc tomorrow.

Thanks

Just to add here that it was indeed a thrombosis, as I first thought.

Swollen ankle can mean thrombosis, Sqad!
